I tend to collect figures I like first, and then find a use for them later.  lol

I did that a lot when I had sufficient funds; these days I only buy models that I intend to use for a project right away (I actually ruled that I have to paint up a purchase before making a new one  a rule that I have already broken on a small scale, but as the transgression consists of 6 small-scale spaceships for War Rocket that should not take me more than an afternoon to paint, I think I'll catch up).

I REALLY like that WM set. I could see multiple uses for it (actually, I have a Cygnar starter set that I never got painted, and the Jacks could come in handy for a variety of purposes, too).

I also have a lot of both large toy dinos (Schleich 1/48) and small metal ones (HLBS) that I should break out for some painting. So many minis, so little time...  ::)

(I have cardboard boxes bristling with minis for almost any setting/period out there - I'm not likely to ever run out of stuff to paint)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

There's a lot of useful Warmachine stuff.
I picked up mine for a planned army that never got off the ground.
Most of it I reckon I can re-purpose for fantasy or VSF,  :)

The rest of my Gurkhas:-

Still, a chap ought to look smart in front of the men, don't you think?

I need to sort out a photo-taking session for updates, but in the meantime, here is a picture of some Hinterland Hussars, and some pictures of my almost-completed Russian Okhrana company, which have previously appeared in their own thread, but I thought I'd cheat and include them here too.

Next in the painting queue is an explorers company, currently consisting of:-

Sir Harry Enfield (inventor of the Enfield Arc Rifle)
Lady Catherine Enfield
Private Whitehouse (the Enfields' bodyguard, and right-hand man)
Colonel Anthony Aloysious St John Hancock (of the East Cheam Fusiliers)
Griselda Pugh (Col. Hancock's secretary and cook)
Private William Kerr (of the Wagga Wagga Rifles)
Captain Sandy Wilson (Royal Navy)
Sgt Major Tudor Williams (Royal Artillery)
Gunner Harold "Lofty" Sugden (Royal Artillery)
and assorted native bearers and porters

Sir Harry often leads expeditions into the heart of Africa to test out the various firearms his company manufactures.
Her Majesty's government indulges him, but always makes sure he is well-protected by members of Her Majesty's forces

@ Aircav - too good a figure not to re-use,  :D
and it seemed to fit in with the Russians. To my eye anyway,  :)

It's a inspired idea & fits in perfectly. It's a great thread with some cracking figures  8)
