Not hobby related, but I did once drop an entire can of lavender emulsion paint onto the burgundy landing carpet. The first five seconds were spent staring in stunned defeat and the next five minutes running about yelling. It took several buckets of water, most of a bottle of washing up liquid and the brave sacrifice of several elderly towels before it was cleaned up. It took many days to dry and smelled like an old dog the whole time.

If you snake it more than 3 times, you're playing with it!

A patch of green overspray on orange shag carpet in the wee days of my youth is my worst paint accident.

... Well, I did also spill a wee bit of iron oxide based dry pigment on the carpet once. Just because it's dry powder, doesn't mean it isn't permanent. I suppose neither of those are very thrilling adventurous though.

Wait... there's also the time I ruined a futon with a ferric chloride spill. Hmmm...

I'd still say my most epic hobby/DIY adventures have all been of the sharps-related variety.

still have a spot of green paint beneath the skin of one of my fingers, was trying to clean the lid of one of those old fliptops with a toothpick, used a bit too much force and the toothpick went through the lid into my finger leaving a spot of green paint

Not just got a tattoo, gave yourself a tattoo. That's super hardcore, that is!  o_o

I had a Reaper dropper bottle paintsplode over about four or five 95% completed figures several years ago, just after I started using the dropper bottles. A quick scrub under running water got the bulk of the spill off and preserved most of the intentional paintjob... a certain amount of bad language was also employed. I still massively prefer droppers to pots, but these days I keep a couple of stray lengths of wire around the painting bench for the inevitable clogs.
