Hi Folks,

Frstly thanks for all the kind words on the blog - much appreciated.  The number of fantastic Sudan projects on the go around the globe at the moment is certainly inspiring me to keep the momentum going - there are some very talented wargamers out there!

Just a quick note to let those guys interested that a couple of new posts are up on the blog.  Rules are getting very close to being finalised, checked off by a couple of important people and then available.

Hi Carlo,

I like your Nordenfeld gun and love the adapted Fuzzies crewing it VERY well done!

It's nice to see the natives with some firepower, excellent. They'll be a nice surprise for the Imperials every now and then.

Looking at the reference picture on your blog I'm pretty sure it depicts a Gatling gun though, there's the drum type magazine and you can see the crank handle  .

Simply a case of spare Nordenfelds and no spare Gatlings in the box of useful things.  These natives can be quite enterprising you know!

Hi Richard,

Absolutely correct sir.

They were the only old style metal figures that I had about with open hands to rest on the gun frame and actually turn the crank handle.  A little bit of "gentle" twisting, filing and cutting did the trick.  Their Fuzzies were IMHO far superior to the Ansar in teh range and teh sculpting on the faces and uper torso were (and still are) very, very good.

Always love getting into that "box of useful things" for projects such as these!

Great idea Carlo. I had a whole batch of those which I only sold on a few years back... Lovely figures for their time, and still perfectly passable today. Nice work
