Labyrinth style Goblins
« on: April 18, 2014, 01:09:26 PM »
Did she say it yet!?

So by somewhat popular demand, (at least two people) I will give these fellas a thread of their own.
I have always loved the movie Labyrinth and after rewatching it I decided there must be some sort of wargame in it somewhere. I haven't completely figured out where just yet. At present this is more of a fun/nottoseriousbutbuyloadsoffunstuff Kind of project. I definately need some of the nightfolk miniatures http://ntseshop.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=178
I don't really know what to do for rules and scenery yet. Any input regarding rules scenery additional suitable miniatures would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what is done so far.

Those look spectacular. What a great project.
I think anyone who uses a tag line like "Did she say it yet?" knows Labyrinth pretty damn well. I look forward to seeing where you go with this.

These are excellent!

I always thought that any Labyrinth goblin project should include Sir Crumb and Hodgesley from ZombieSmith (http://www.zombiesmith.com/products/sir-crumb-and-hodgesley)

Awesome stuff, I putting together a force also and haven't come up with a rule set either, something that doesn't have loads of killing is what I'm looking for.
I recognize most of your figures but who made the fat guy with the hand axe in the 5th picture?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Thanks everyone.
The zombiesmith guys are definately on the to buy list only thing is it can get quite expensive. Order stuff from the US. With postage, VAT and taxes.

The fat guy with the axe is an old citadel chaos dwarf I think.

For rules I have been thinking something along the lines of Gloire. As it is very swashbucklery and not very killy. I want people to have to run around the board. And I want the scenery to move around as well. But not totally dominate the game.

Fantastic! Are these mods? Or a keen eye for collecting? However you've put it together, you've done a great job capturing the mood of the film.

Looking forward to more,
Jevenkah

Finished a giant robot/golem today. It is controlled by a particularly brave goblin.

Labyrinth? Was that the movie with David Bowie in it? Aaah....well looking at some of the goblins i had a flashback of another "early" fantasy movie....Legend...with a very young Tom Cruise. Quite liked that one.

Great work, I am collecting figures for a similar HOTT army, buy my painting won't match yours. Who is the guy in yellow with the horned helmet and cross shield on the right in the sixth picture, he is very Froudian.

I am not entirely sure. I think he might be from RAFM.
