So hard to choose! These are both fantastic, dynamic entries. In the end Slaine sealed the deal for my vote. Never seen that model before...Foundry?

Both very evocative of barbarian savagery! A tough choice. Lovely warpaint and hand-painted todgers, vs. another of Hammers' spiffing Mise-en-scène creations...

Really tough choice.
Both lovely painted models.

Any idea about who makes the hound?

Both great sets.  Lots of variety.  I like the story of the second one, and I always go for a dog, all other things being equal.
I am interested in land warfare throughout history and beyond, except the Seven Years War, in Europe.

Excellent match up.  Too bad there isn't a tie vote.  I am just going to close my eyes and press a button.

I always view the entries before reading the name of the entrants. Was sure the saxon raiders were Hammers' work, but couldn't spot the dude with the dog. Was surprised to find I was right.

I can only assume they're in the church making their way to safety out the other side? =)

Bravo, that man.

In this scenario he is Herr Lebensmüde, Master of Arms of the Saxon Anti-Defamation League, urging his fellow Saxons to "please, please take it down a notch because this is *exactly* the kind of behavior the prejudice Romano-British are going to get all huffed up about in regards to our tribes".

There's some tough matches this round. This is one of them, hat's off to both entries.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Mr. Tired-of-living, if I've translated the German properly? Nice.
