The beginning of the romanian platoon for Chain of Command
« on: April 22, 2014, 08:43:23 PM »
Hi,
here's w.i.p of the 1st rifle section of my romanian platoon - all minis in 1/72 scale by Strelets.

I'm completely new to the topic of WW2, so any advice is warmly welcome :).

These look like a great start.  I'd love to see some Romanians in 28mm, they are a really interesting force to game with.

Couldn't you use the Gothic Line Dutch as proxies or at least a source of heads? Gui the owner/sculptor isca member of this forum so it might be worth contacting him.

Can you wait 2 weeks or so?
will be launching the Romanians then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are almost finished now and will have at least 16 figures to star including Mortar team,radio/command,etc etc...

Probably some Pulp action maybe.
Ideas are welcome.

Rui the Romanians at 20mm is one thing...at 28mm they are a tough product to commit to as a producer...and I dont see many of us rejoicing over the latest news...
Still might give them a shot!

Yes but the idea is to make things other people dont produce.
There are to many manufacturers of germans, british, russians, french and americans and so few of other nations.
So any one that makes others is more than welcome to the market.
Lets see some brand new ranges/nations for a variation. ;)

Cheers

Outpost are your 28mm Romanian go to guys

http://www.outpostwargameservices.co.uk/ww2rom.html

Mines are in 20mm - Hat, Shellhole and a bunch of the old FAA figures from the bring & buy at Carronade a couple of years ago.
My copy of CoC is sitting on the bookshelf - are there guides out for romanians somewhere?

Thanks guys. I'll stick to 20mm, because all the people wargaming in my area use 20mm.

Good to see one of the more unusual antagonists of the war getting a show in and the cherry on top they are 1/72nd - they look great. Are you planning on any vehicles for them?
