What's making News
« on: July 11, 2008, 01:31:50 AM »
Hi Guys,

Well there has been a little traffic on various web-sites informing members on upcoming products. I don't have wide coverage of all groups so I hope other members can also share news that might interest other members.

JTFM
From Jeff: “First up will be the completion of the Stug IV, with separate schürzen
plates, and the M3 Lee, plus a tasty little terrain / objective piece
that will work for both Western Front and Battle for Berlin..... Then
depending on whether the wife presents me with an incredibly long "
honey do list " 2 or 3 more goodies...

This coming weekend I'll be collecting the first set of SU-76 crew and
with luck they'll get cast up as well. I'm going resin, due to the
success I've had casting figures. This might seem a sin to some of you
but the price of metal is nuts and I'd like to offer the figures at a
very reasonable price.

The balance of the crew figs, Russian and German will, I hope, be
completed by end of July. That'll give everyone a choice of 2
different SU-76 crews, 3 generic Russkies, and 3 Germans.

That's all for, oh and you might see a sweet little SdKfz.11
conversion that Keith Stine, of Iron Ivan, and I were discussing on
TMP in the near future as well. It will fit nicely for you Ost
Frontiers and might prove an interesting little toy for some of you
interwar what if Pulp gamers!”

BAM
From Paul Hicks: “Next up will be more Vehicles the Sherman and the SDKFZ7 too, plus I promise to make some German tankies too.”
Nigel mentioned that he is still working on a couple of metal parts for the Cromwell.

Copplestone

Everyone should be by now aware of the new Vickers Medium tank suitable for interwar and early WW2:

OK!

Marvelous news cap Helen Bachaus.

More to ponder. More to buy.

Thank you for the good report.

I see Tiger Miniatures are still adding to their Balkan range: A Bulgarian artillery crew is now on their list. Not sure how new it is, but I hadn't spotted it before. Handy for Great War gamers thinking about Salonika.

Also the not-so-good news (for Brits) I posted the other day about having to order from the States now if you want Battle Honours figs.

Terry from North Bay Hobbies and Games has let me know that he should have the Company B Rolls Royce in stock as of next week.  He already has the metal pieces and is just waiting on the resin bodies.

And Phil from Brigade Models is currently working on moulds for the Belgian MG and casualty figures.  He anticipates an announcement in the next few weeks.  Brigade is also working on cavalry and a Minerva armoured car for release in approximately October.

Meanwhile, Brigade Games will soon be releasing French artillery crews in kepi (finally - early war crews for the 75!), Russian artillery, Sikh command 2, and hopefully more cavalry by the end of the summer.

Thanks Dylan and Will,

Also, I failed to mention that Bill from Musketeer Miniatures is working on WW1 Russians and Austro-Hungarians. The latter as opponents for the former. Bill also mention on his forum that Germans would be a consideration for later on.

Bill also mentioned that Paul Hicks wasn't designing WW1 figures due to other commitments. So I don't know whats going on considering we are suppose to see from Brigade Games some Austrians, French etc designed by Paul.

I'm sure it's all in hand and we will see some lovely figures anyway.

Oh, it's the old HLBS one. Anyone know how this is size wise? I heard some of the HLBS tanks were on the small side. Would be trying to match Copplestone and Artizan.

Yes, back from successful surgery.

Correction. Paul Hicks is working on WW1 for Brigade Games. Nothing has changed in the plans. Timing slipped a little while other items were squeezed into the schedule.
