(KICKSTARTER) 4th war cardboard gaming tables

Some good ideas here! A full gaming table that takes very little space when folded, resistant and practical!
The idea is really neat!  :-*
Available in several sizes (and with the magnetic strips it can be combined depending by your needs!)

Cheers
Jack

Nice Idea sure, but not really worst THAT amount of Money. First one. For Cardstockprint and Cutmoulding with some printed Vinylmats 99000$ as Pledgegoal is a hard number of money and stinks a bit of getting rich with a Kickstarter sry. Man 100 bucks and more for some folded papercardstock is a bit high imo. For that Money  I can buy a premium Table for tapestry work and modifing it with 3D Elements. But the Idea is nice. 40 Bucks and it would be a perfect deal.

I agree about the excessive cost., but still it's 5 kg of cardboard, and it comes folded and with magnets and other stuff. I won't buy it, but still it's interesting, and offers something that is not on the market: a lightweight and portable table!

I don't understand your points about the 99k$: it doesn't mean that they will make more money than if they asked 20k$: simply  they wanted to make sure to have a solid base before proceeding, and otherwise they will just close the project.

As I said in the other thread, I think it's a clever design but don't really see it's use and cardboard is not a good table material.

$99k just means they're being honest. Most gaming Kickstarters undervalue the amount so they can claim to have 'funded' quickly and be 1006% funded and other nonsense statements. CMON are a prime example, the original Zombicide was looking for $30k or similar, they actually needed it to get to $250k in order to put it into production.
So many projects..... so little time.......

For a Game with plastic Miniatures, Moldmaking etc. I totally agree that it should be higher then the 30k CMoN wants in first goal. But we talk about a simple Cardboard plate that will get cut in Shpae by preassure Knife mold or CNC Knifecutter for smaller batches. That costs not that high amount of bucks to get that, but its  their calculation and they have to collect that much money with that niche product. The Amount of Money just seems to be a bit off the scale imo.

And even its just cosmetic, the presentation of this Kickstarter is awkfull. There are tiny brigades of Typingfailures and wrong gramatics. For a Post in a forum in normal usage its ok for a non neative english speaking person imo, but on a project-presentation it should proper fit imo.

Properly assembled (folded) Card stock can be surprisingly strong. That being said I also think the price point is to high. I can buy a 4 x 6 table that folds up and then in half so it is 3 x 4. It only weighs a few ponds and is easily stored/transported for about $60. The real killer is the one designed for a store owner that works out to over a $130 a table. What would they have to sell them for to recoup their money? o_o
