Aaand... the full unit is ready for battle!

Pardon the shitty pic - camera battery was just about to die, so I didn't fiddle with the settings.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I've started bringing the last unit needed for my GoB Gondor army up to strength - this one a 3 more are all being blocked out and Devlan Mud washed. Method works for a quick pj, but I still prefer the results of the layering method.

Couple more pics on the blog.

Fantastic work think you have inspired me to delve into some LoTR - I have a mines of Moria box somewhere may as well paint em up. Really liked your troll.

Thank you!

After seeing your hellish denizens, I am very much looking forward to see your take on Middle-Earth!

The Moria box contains some very nice terrain pieces, a well-sculpted plastic Fellowship, the troll I painted up, and a  shedload of goblins, so it should give you a good base for getting some small scenarios going  :)

I plan to get the Moria project back on tracks after Horisont, painting up some of the plastic terrain pieces, and then some Fellowship characters. Well, it's a plan...  ::)  I may yet get distracted by other possibilities  lol

Great paintjobs on this project! I like the colorful approach you've taken with your most recent forces.

Thank you Argonor. I have started the goblins as well as some of the characters and will post soon, my troll I think will be done in a different colour scheme from that in the movie/s. Looking forward to seeing more of yours, perhaps some Wargs?

Ah, yes, wargs  ;D

I have some warg riders and riderless wargs painted, so as soon as I turn my attention to my Isegarders I shall have to bring up those to full unit numbers, too!

For now, another Rohan Warrior is joining the ranks:

Couple more pics on the blog. I expect to finish the last one today, then start painting Denethor.

Thanks, I thought I might just as well put a little variation among all the greens, greys, and browns, at the same time getting used to using some of the brighter paint-series I have - after all, the 'Dark Age' was nowhere as dull as , for instance, the 'Vikings' TV-show would lead us to believe.

Depends on which mini.

Most of the Devlan Mud washed Rohirrim had the gold details picked out in silver, then covered with Vallejo Game Colour Polished Gold, before the whole mini got its wash.

For the elderly guy in the blue-green tunic, I painted the gold parts with a mix of gold and black, then Polished Gold, highlighted with a mix of gold and silver.

The guy in the red tunic had the gold parts painted silver , polished gold, then mix of gold/silver.
