Just to clarify chaps. It starts at £10 for 4 miniatures and then at the reward level above and higher levels their is a discount. For example at the second pledge level it becomes £9 for 4 miniatures. Each reward level also includes postage and quality packaging to ensure it reaches you safely.

As for retail after the kickstarter its something we're looking at but its really early days for us. One thing we know for sure is we can definitely deliver this kickstarter very quickly so there isn't a better time to get hold of some Spectre Miniatures..

10K goal unlocked!

With the first set of PMCs and the African rebel soldiers unlocked, almost all of our initial stretch goals are now available for you to choose your rewards from!

We've also posted a series of 'designers notes' so everyone can see the amount of research we have put into the range so far.

There will be some exciting news coming next week too.

Wow! thank you all so much for your support - we have been blown away with how quickly the goals have unlocked.

This isn't the end though, when we realised how popular the range was proving to be we started designing some new figures for additional goals.

The first few to unlock will be free figures for certain pledge levels and a couple others will be full new sets to give you more choice when selecting your final sets. You'll all be pleased to know that we have spent the day play testing the rules and formatting them for presentation, so these should be available very soon now!

We will also going to be showing a very exciting preview that I know you're going to love...

Thanks everyone!

We have some regular African soldiers on the list for extra goals.

We've added some new goals, which unlock free figures for certain pledge levels. We are using this opportunity to add some interesting character figures. All these are Kickstarter exclusive figures and will not be available afterwards.

Also, as a thank you we've added the 'weapons cache' as a freebie to everyone who has pledged at the 'Contractor' level. This does not need to be unlocked and is available immediately. This makes a nice little scenery item or objective in games.

Very nice figures. This has definitely peaked my interest in 28mm moderns (which up until now, had some great stuff, but was extremely limited in scope) the concept of doing other 'theaters' is extremely cool as well!

Very tempted to pledge and start a Moderns RPG project.

I'm on board.

I tried to get into AK47 Republic but I just can't seem to finish a force in 15mm. These look like some great figures.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I dunno...the arms on the figures look too short and skinny.

Whether in uniforms or civies the arms look so small and short compared to the rest of the body.

It's like one designer did the arms and weapons and then another designer did the rest of the figure.

Usually weapons tend to be oversized in miniature, and people seem to view them as being bigger then they actually are. These seem to get it about right, I think they could perhaps be a tad fatter, but only a tad.

Usually weapons are too fat and too short, mostly due to durability and casting issues. Old school bolt action rifles are really long (especially with bayonets attached), they will seriously limit posing and molding if they are not shortened or made as separate parts.

I'm personally not too fond of accurately scaled weapons, because the barrels will inevitably break in just a couple of game sessions, especially on guns like the FAL or Dragunov that have really long really thin barrels...

The reece patrol look far better now they are painted.

However the SAS observation patrol don't seem to have much detail in the legs. The standing ones are fine but in the pictures the legs just look a little a blob on the crouching ones.

Oh I much prefer realistically scaled weapons. When I played Warhammer 40,000 I once looked at some historical miniatures and thought "woah, those are some weedy guns", but now I've grown out of that filthy habit. Unfortunately as Games Workshop sets the bar for these things, many manufactures make weapons that are equally as chunky as there's. It would nice to see Spectre Miniatures releasing sets of loose weapons, as quality modern ones (hell even 28mm historical guns if they weren't common) are a rare thing in the market. Hey they have enough spare guns handy to make fancy little piles out of them (which when I'll probably go in for), it'd be nice to pick up some separately as well. Pretty please? *Bats eyes*  :)

How do these compare size wise with TAG and Empress?
