Fantastic! My sci-fi stuff tends to blend into space western too.

Where do the flying rats come from?

Your stuff is always inspirational!

They are some Bob Olley sculpts from Reaper. I don't recall what.  :D

I believe I see some fellas aiming to misbehave.

I think I will imagine it, not as a plane, but a 'derailed' hovertrain...

Graffiti in Chinese optional.

Doug

There will be a Scrunt land train... eventually.

Lovely new posses!  :-*

yes, better leave those posses home, I think James is planning on mini-napping them :D

I did not. But will do in the foreseeable future.  lol

So in this country, if you want to have a game, you have to drive for something like 2 hours. At least that was the only option available to me yesterday. I considered it briefly and then decided that 'yes it is worth my while'.  lol

There was a fire fight!

Galactic Gulch was the scene of some heavy shoot outs once again!

Overview of the board. One league was deployed in each corner.

Space Police Cavalry ready to kill the native Lava Tribe and arrest the outlaws.

Wild Bill 7 and his gang of Killer Robots ready to rob the bank

The Tribe of Lava advancing to gain spiritual knowledge and commune with the ghosts

The space police cavalry take the first plot point

The enourmeous lava bull breaks the code of another plot point using it's cunning

Wild Bill 7 unleashes his guns

A host of flying rats is attracted by the noise and smell of beef jerky

The killer robots instill the rage of the Mad Banker

The rest of the leagues struggle to come in second.

A good game. My first with 4 players. I think it went OK and relatively smooth. I was gifted with at least 3 of the players having tried PA before.

Wild Bill and the killer robots won as they got the main objective. Another turn would have certainly changed this but we had carried on into the night and people had to get up and go to work so we called it quits after turn 5.

Absolutely mad, crazy but seriously gorgeous eye-candy!
Love it all!
 :-* 8) :-*

Those figures are all great but the highlight for me is seeing the Space Police get a run out.
I have always admired those little wacky guys since I first saw them.

I would happily drive for two hours for a game with such a cool collection of miniatures on such a great looking pulp sci-fi table.

Fantastic stuff.

I have reduced the number of miniatures in each league for the two multiplayer games of PA that I have been involved in (a Leader, Sidekick and Ally each IIRC).  It cut down on overall game time a bit, but not as much as I was expecting.

The next time that I get together with a few guys for a multiplayer game of PA the plan is to split the forces into two sides, rather than have four opposing forces.  I really do love PA for games like this though: its perfectly suited for the sorts of over the top stories that I want my games to tell.

Thanks! I really love the idea of the space police too. Naturally...

This would almost be their first outing.  lol

Only three!? Wow. Yeah, well I went in the opposite corner there.  lol

The game took around 4 hours with pauses and other such.

I really liked the feel of the Space Police Cavalry. The player even got to use the Red Blue Shirt rule.  :D
I didn't quite have enough of them though. I would like to make the leader a commander and just have a sea of followers.

My next game will hopefully feature a Scruntian Land Train that I started ages ago but never finished. (you can probably even find it here somewhere).

And then I had a big think. I didn't know whether to go all in with the western thing. But in the end it seems I did.
