Beautiful. No matter how hard I try, I just never seem to get that sort of wonderful battle damage and scraping on my metal.

Are you kidding? I love your painting and always think "well, I will never be that good!" Can´t imagine that a master like you is not able to paint some battle damage. But if there is some interest I can make a tutorial.

Always love your work and that is top notch!

Is your CoC Force Morale tracker board available for download? I have the TFL one downloaded but yours has so much extra.  :P

Mad Doc Morris designed it, you have to ask him.

Sorry, guys, don't want to infringe any copyrights, so the tracker won't be available for download or some such. If you've seen the photo and have the rules at hand, though, it's pretty easy to reproduce (at least the designing part, Hazel's work enhances it a lot).

Thanks, I'd appreciate that. I'm sure I've got some of the theory right - you add the dark scratches and scrapes, then put a flick of light colour underneath - check. Got that. What eludes me is the ability to get that real rusty metal effect and the variation on shade that really looks like a mottled patch of exposed metal.

I also don't think I'm very good at picking where to put the scratches and scrapes. Vehicles and big metal stuff are not my strong points.
