Mr Evilsam,
We are pleased to hear your are enjoying our little diversion
A few answers:
1) The key phrasing is as follows:
Wherever possible, look along the line between the shooter and the target – if any part of the target can be seen then it is in line of sight, unless there is an area of terrain anywhere along that line of sight, in which case it
may not be.So if you can see the target through the intervening figures then it is line of sight.
2) Unless stated in a scenario there are not. Most scenarios are played until the objectives are met or both sides are unable to continue. In a campaign game you may choose to withdraw to limit your losses.
3) An engagement is a game.
4)
3.2.5 Movement & Terror: Failure means that the figure flees 1d10 inches directly away from the Terrifying enemy. No disengagement required. Terror overcomes all other considerations.
5) A choice of weapon is more than just its stats, it is about availability to the type of figure under consideration. A dockyard labourer is much more likely to be able to get his hands on a shotgun. But in simple terms the main advantage is that the cost is less.
6) The VIP is generally a civilian, thus Pluck 6+, FV+0, SV+0, Speed+0. he will activate at the same time as his escorting figure, unless you think it safe to let him make his own way home when there are still enemy about.
I hope that helps. Please feel free to ask any other questions you like.
