Start of a medieval town
« on: May 17, 2014, 04:03:35 AM »
Greetings everyone,
Haven't been here in a while...I've been changing course going back to the Crusades. I've started to set up a table in addition to the Civil War table next to it. Last time I was here I put up my medieval church with the scaffolding, here are a few more buildings that I've been working on.

Holy.

Shit.

That is some incredible work. I mean, just those few photos already ranks with some of the very best miniature terrain work I've ever seen.

And that's easily the best use of printed paper texture I've seen. You don't even notice how much of it is printed until you look at the WIP photos.

Yeah - I thought opening this thread it'll be one nice little building. Not this.

Having flashbacks to sight, sounds and smells of Europe. Awesome.

I can almost smell the sewerage. Wonderfully 'crumbly' look. I do not like 'starched & Ironed' buildings, especially old/used ones. Please keep posting pictures.

That's beautiful, just beautiful. What a wonderful piece of work, I hope you're really proud.

You've managed to bridge that elusive gap between making a nice model and recreating reality. Words escape me.

Yep. Utterly brilliant. Even better than your ACW scenery.

That is one hell of a town.  The detail is fantastic. Love the weathered door.
