Best source for Noxii?
« on: May 24, 2014, 11:04:35 PM »
So I'd like to implement some Noxii executions/fights in my Blood on the Sands play-testing.  I'd just like to pick up 5-6 decent "condemned slaves".  Any suggestions?  I see Crusader has some but they're not fighting and in shackles etc.  I just need some guys in simple tunics (or loin cloths or whatever) and a sword or spear...maybe a shield.

I see some decent boxed plastics but they're all quite pricey and I don't need a dozen figures.  I see a bunch o' Foundry stuff but they have almost too many lines to look at.  I've been perusing their various Roman sections but can't find a suitable set.  Any help/suggestions?  Budget for the 5-6 figures is maybe $20 tops.  Not looking to go nuts.

Cheers!

The Foundry ones you were trying to find may be on this page:

Particularly "Armed civilians and slaves" and "Ancient Revolting Citizens".
Back from the dead, almost.

Hello Elbows

The Wargames factory numidians box is very good to use or you can use this pack from wargames foundry.

Cheers

Steve, perfect!  I think that's what I had seen a year or so ago but couldn't remember which heading it was under.  I think one of those will do just fine.  Rumacara, thanks!  (now just have to find a US supplier that's affordable).  Probably go with this lot:

Yeah I had been perusing some Germans/Gauls etc.  I'm waiting to hear back if Warstore can snag these guys for me.
