Sherlock's Coffee/Tea house in Whitby
« on: May 26, 2014, 04:20:07 PM »
Just had a great pot of tea and a slice of cake in this establishment. A lovely location with wood paneling and good theming throughout. However the interesting part was the table number/markers. They're all 28mm figures (or rather photo's of). No apparent reason for it and the staff were a bit busy to ask.

So is anyone on here responsible (wouldn't surprise me) or know why?
So many projects..... so little time.......

The apple pie didn't last long so there was time for a photo of the table marker. The pot of tea lasted longer.

This was the nook area I was sat in. A Google search for 'Sherlocks Whitby' will give you lots more.

Looks very comfy. And a nice pot of tea with something sweet on the side is always a delight. However, with the warm weather of the last days i'm beginning to dream 'bout a large glass full of cider. Ah, how i miss dear old Blighty.

That was what I said, while drinking tea  :D

They quite probably just grabbed them off the web. I just wondered why figures rather than art or just numbers.

I put my money on a very talented painter called Alexander Bews.

Fair enough, but the question is why they are on their table settings?  ;)

Maybe they're...tabletop miniatures?

I'm here all week.

Strips like that do make me think of the prof, Tom and Capt Blood. But there are a few "ebay" paunters that do them well too. And Mr Dixon.

What an interesting place....
