Zulu War British Infantry 28mm
« on: May 29, 2014, 01:59:25 AM »
Hi Chaps
My first unit of British infantry. I have nicked the sabot base idea from another wargamer - credited in the blog.  Black Tree Designs figures - really lovely to paint.

More over at the Woolshed.

Very nice looking unit.  I have been slowly working through painting my Warlord, Empress and Redoubt British army as well. I will have to look at BTD to see what they have.  :)

We switched to Black Powder for our Zulu games as well and have been enjoying it so far. You really don't need big units with BP though the variable movement dynamic takes a bit to get used too.

Very nice!!

My ZW collection is BTD - I think they are much under-rated and 'unsung', (despite the purists complaining about the helmets).

Thanks for posting.

Given my penchant for using whatever manufacturer happens along at the time I wont worry too much about helmets. I just want to get them painted this winter. I have also finished a unit of Natal Native Contingent which I will post at some stage.

Please do. You can just see them at the bottom of one of your other shots, you big tease. Let's have a full shot of the blighters.  :)

The firing line looks especially good on the big tray bases. Gives it a little extra something.
