Blue Moon Pulp Figures
« on: July 18, 2008, 07:22:16 PM »
Blue Moon is expanding on their Pulp Characters range with several interesting new packs, including some more ship crews and some damsels in distress.  Looking good!

They're looking lovely in the greens, but that won't last once the promotional department get through with them.  lol

I have to agree. I've not been a fan of what I've seen on their site, but the greens look excellent. I really don't want to offend whoever paints for them, but Bluemoon need to up their game.

Where to buy Blue Moon figures in Europe? I heard that Old Glory US has some very high p&p costs for sending parcels to Europe, even with that current nice EURO - US$ relation ...

try contact Andy Copestake at Old Glory UK. They usually have the Blue Moon products alongwith the other OG ranges.

How do these figures compare to Artizan, anyone?

Blue Moon are most unjustly semi-forgotten among their peers. The minis are fun, good looking and useful. As have been stated before by tRH Sir Bob de Jollie BM's marketing  Dpt is doing the company no service by enlisting that flock of bonobos to do the painting for the portfolio shots.

I only followed on this as I was going to buy from Bob Murch, but then these seem to fit in with Artizan's style better.

Joroas, if its any help, I often use Blue Moon, Artizan, Foundry and Copplestone together. Not in the same unit if I'm doing a larger force, but a skirmish gang or seperate units is fine. They all have a similar syle and level of detail to my eyes.

Mind you, I mix them with Ironclad, Pulp and Eureka too, I'm not very precious when it comes to sizes.

That's what I was looking for.  Are the Dixons Down and outs similar?
