People for my mine
« on: July 19, 2008, 07:45:59 PM »
I'm working on my next terrain piece for my old west town and our club's next Crisis game, a gold-/silvermine (not yet decided  :D), and look for civilians to prep it up with folks. I looked through the specific old west ranges already like Foundry and Artizan, but there aren't too many figures like golddiggers, diggers washing pans in the water, working with pick and shovel etc. Or chinese laundry folk, working camp ladies or workers cutting logs and wood or any field equipment. I hope you see what I'm after, so anybody with suggestions?

HLBS has a line of prospectors and miners.  Unfortunately their website seems to be down right now, so I can't provide a link.

Assuming that they match the other Great White North models, they are approximately the same size as Copplestone figures.

If you can find them, the old Deadlands figure range had a set of 3 railroad workers. These guys would work well in a mine too. 1 is a chinese with a pick & a coolie hat. 2 is a negro in a broad brimmed hat with a hammer. 3 is shirtless in a cowboy hat swinging his shovel over his head. When I bought mine the came 6 in a bubble pack 2 each.
