Doug has the opportunity to bring the unpublished Phagon or rare Wartech (Unite Packs)  miniatures to casting.
I do not know why he does not do that.
I would be happy about that.
However, I no longer believe it.

I have consume ca. 99.99% of my complete Spacelords Greens. :'(
There is almost nothing more there.  :'( :'(
I buy old Spacelords Miniatures from Hobby Products !
- Cybertech, Bunkerbreaker, Yoyodyne, Sarday´kin, Phagon -

You're right.  ;)
But the Chances of new and rare Phagon/Wartech Spacelords are getting smaller.
It would be casting the miniatures, the have been rare in the Spacelords Unit Box, as the miniatures of which many are available.
What a pity!

I think you will find releases are based on sales. More sales more releases.
The main problem is the missing ruleset. I got my Gates of Antares last week. Good ruleset, must try it for spacelords. I own a lot of the originals, so I do not buy more. Only special stuff like gliders are interesting.

There's a lot of truth in that, Scurv. With the launch of Moonraker Miniatures, it's easier to order Spacelords:
For those who've missed it - http://moonrakerminiatures.com/spacelords.htm
However, other items on the site sell better than Spacelords so I've been making moulds for other things (Dunwich Detectives, Gladiators etc) rather than Spacelords.

I know some items are particularly requested (Leland... :) ) and will sell a few but I need a more regular demand to inspire me into making more. This is not me begging for sales (honestly...!); I'm just giving an explanation.

To be honest, we could do with a few more Cybertech and Wartech troop releases to make gaming forces viable. For example, if I wanted to pit Cybertech grunts against Phagons, I can't even buy support weapons for the puny humans! It's the one thing that's putting me off jumping in. I could still buy what's available, but there's no guarantee at the moment that I'll be able to field MGs etc.

The Problem is:
* No (english) rules of the Game
* Insufficient available Figures
* too little available Races
* no monthly Updates (new Miniatures releases)
* Almost no Advertising

At Hobby Products, there were monthly new miniatures.  :)
(Metal Magic Bote)

The miniatures are not often bought because the buyer does not know what he should use the miniatures?
(Excuse my  dam ... english  :? )

I'm interested in more highlights (not published and rare miniatures)

Greetings.... ;)

Doug,

I concur with the point about the need to be able to build a viable unit for the tabletop; the Yoyodyne Shigaru suffer from this very problem, as you have to date only released the pistol and SMG-armed poses (and hence my pestering you for the HMG poses so I can finish up my own wargame TO&E for these unique and very sharp looking troops!).

In an effort to help you achieve more sales, I am still very much committed to using these figures as the semi-official figures for the Silent Death universe sci-fi skirmish system I hope to get to playtesting before the year is out (and photos of my painted troops up on our Metal Express forum accordingly)... These are superb figures well imagined and executed, and I for one have never understood why they didn't take off as I for one feel they should have when they first came out. Puzzling... :?

Sorry for the thread necro, i would just like to say i am really impressed with the ''Phagon Battle Clones'' i ordered. They are beautiful sculpts with hardly any mold lines at all.

I actually never heard of these before i pleasantly stumbled across them, i think i will paint them in the original red color scheme and try get the shoulder emblem they have as accurate as possible.

I look forward to ordering more in the future, a thumbs up from me.

It's a brilliant range, and kudos to Doug at Moonraker for bringing them back.

Now, if only he would finish re-releasing more of the human Wartechs. It's hard to build a decent Phagon-smashing force with the few that are available.

I think the battle clones may be human too, at least according to blackwidowpilot on tmp.

''Phagon Battle Clones are in fact clones of *humans,* people! evil grin

That's right, the Phagons are masters of bioengineering, and as a means of turnabout is fair play ( and a horned headed nod to the fighting prowess of human beings) they cloned a captured human soldier and added some special modifications while the Phagons were at it to produce a particularly nasty and especially tough and resilient vat grown soldier for their war against the hated Terrans.

Battle Clones were noticibly stronger than stock humans IIRC, and more troubling still, were able to regenerate wounds that were short of catastrophic right then and there on the battlefield(!), making them particularly persistent and frustrating opponents for the poor, hapless Cybertechs and Yoyodyne that had to face them.''

I would personally like to know more about the lore behind the range, but unfortunately i do not speak German, and the metal magic forum seems to not be accepting new members.

The Cybertechs are rather cool too, i might also invest in some of those.

It'd be a good time for Doug to put some more out, what with the Osprey Rogue Stars ruleset coming out at the end of the year. Spacelords is an ideal range to use for a game like that.

I've never heard of that, i know Spacelords has its own rule set, but that is only in German and seems quite rare to find.

Most people seem to play Warhammer 40k round my end, though even then i think this range would make a cool imperial guard force or similar. I haven't played a tabletop game in years, i usually just used to paint models and display models and display them.
