Another company finished for my British force for the Zulu War. Having fun with these guys. Can't wait to get on to the Zulu.

Quote form your blog.  Some people don’t like the Black Tree Design figures because of their somewhat strange  ribbed hats...

When I painted some I heard the same.  I really enjoyed painting the figures and thought they were great sculpts.  Chunky and dynamic.  I thought if I ever paint any more of them I might reduce the ribs as an experiment.

A nice firing line there. I have a few BTD figures in my collection and yes, they did look a little 'off' at first, but they painted up well and I like them.  :)
