Mighty Armies basing?

How are the figures based for mighty armies? would 40mm squares work?

I would suggest using 20x40 bases for line troops and 40x40 bases for monsters if you want to deviate from the normal basing.  The problem with using all 40x40 is that monsters are based differently than line troops.

Ok, would effect gameplay massively? Both armies will be based the same.

Probably not much for most armies but you would need to mark the monster bases because the main thing it does effect is battlegroups.  A battle group can have 6 normal size stands or 4 normal stands plus a monster stand.  That would be the primary problem but again, easily solved if you just remember or mark the monsters.
