Stripping resin
« on: June 02, 2014, 10:03:02 PM »
Hi guys

Primed the model in the picture earlier and it's not to my eye turned out to great.

It's the same slightly on the front also.  If you look down her left leg it's slightly patchy.

Couple of questions -

1.  Am I just being picky and can I just cover this up when painting?
2.  If not to strip and start again what is best for resin models?  I've read brown Dettol but can be a lengthy process.
3.  What would do the quickest Jon but keeping the quality of the detail of the model?

I um'ed and ar'ed about priming the model as it's quite humid here tonight.  Could that be what's caused the problem?  I always seem to have trouble priming in white, primed in black another resin model from the same company and that seems to be fine.

Thanks in advance

Did you wash it first?

Yes I did rinse it first.  I am considering tying to just scrape the leg of the excess part where the paints turned patchy and manually prime that part.

I think that's probably the best idea, how long have you had the mini?
