Two website of wargame foundry?
« on: June 12, 2014, 12:23:24 PM »
I was looking for some miniatures and find them from wargame foundry, however they have two website:

http://reference.wargamesfoundry.com/

http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/

I found some miniatures in the first website that are not available in the second website.
I tried to checkout an order in the first website but firefox notified me:

You have asked Firefox to connect securely with secure.wargamesfoundry.com, but it is not possible to confirm the safety of the link. Usually, when trying to establish a connection in secure mode, the web site provides reliable identification to ensure all 'user who is visiting the correct site. However, the identity of this site may not be verificated . what should I do? If you can usually connect to this site without problems, it is possible that this error is caused by an attempt by someone to replace the original site. The advice is not to continue browsing.

Now I'm confused and suspicious  :-X

I believe the reference site is an old one. If you want packs from both sites it may be easier to email them with the order or ring them directly and ask for an invoice etc. Very approachable and friendly folk I have found to my financial loss  :D

They have a few ebay sites with other bits and pieces on. With the move to their new physical site at Stoke Hall in the 'realms of completion' I believe we will be seeing a lot more from foundry!

Thanks.  :)
I sent a mail and received a reply from foundry.
The reference website is an old one as said from Dozing Dragon.
But why is still working? I could register and login inside doing the checkout.
They should  just cancel the register form and inform the buyers that there is a new website for orders.

While I'm here I ask for some comparison size.
I've some artizan afrika korps and the copplestone ngoni female archers, the foundry darkest tribals and amazons have the same size?
I've some Reaper miniatures too, but sure these ones are bigger that all the others, this is good because I use for the main characters of my PA leagues.

Mark Copplestone sculpted the Foundry Darkest Africa ranges so perfect match, I thnk the Artizan are fine as well.

Not always absolutely perfect, when he went solo a bit of scale creep did occur with some of his ranges. But I think in this case they match pretty well.

Some interesting old Foundry models there. I do like the big banner 'FREE POSTAGE WORLDWIDE' ... then under each pack you see '+ £4.00 postage'. Perhaps a little work on the grammar wouldn't go amiss.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.
