Zvezda vs other manufacturers dimensions
« on: June 10, 2014, 03:41:53 PM »
In the next period I'd like to start a new project, I'm thinking about a small modern us and/or soviet force.

I read the topic regarding Manufacturers for 15mm Modern Miniatures and I know that also Zvezda has vehicles/helicopters in that range.

Anyone know how are they compared with other company?
Any pic available?

Thank you
Davide

Not sure, but the normal lines for their Hot War stick to the same method of the other boxed games.

Infantry: 1/72 (20mm)
Vehicles: 1/100 (15mm)
Aircraft: 1/144

So the helo's etc. are not 15mm precisely (though using the simple abstract flying/distance concept might work plenty fine).

I had a bunch of the Zvezda 15mm - 1/100 WW2 tanks and they seem to match up nicely to FOW stuff.  Not sure about other brands.

IIRC there are some 1/200 scale aircraft as well.

I have just used a turret from their T-35 to convert a BT-7 to a BT-7a. Given that they are usually painted green, I can swap the turret back whenever I want and not worry about a different paint scheme.
