Fresh Graves
« on: June 22, 2014, 05:26:12 PM »
Whoo... These have been on the back-burner for way too long. Don't know why or how that happens since these are really useful, great looking pieces and were no trouble at all to do. The muse is a mysterious being...

Two sets of the Uncle Mike's 'Grave Markers' and the 'Crypt'

I'm well set now for skulduggery and nefarious action around an 'active' grave...

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Those red flowers look awesome!  That's a perfect place to try my hand at a little sculpting!

Cool!  8) I would have never thought of putting the graves all on separate bases.

The red flowering shrub is made with the 'Meadow Blend' Flock from GaleForce-9 (their # GFS017). A dab of matte medium here & there gets it 'planted', then a bit of coaxing with tweezers followed by a drop or two of well thinned matte medium to lock it all in place. I pick the red bits out of the tub of flocking and place them for best effect.

Cool!  8) I would have never thought of putting the graves all on separate bases.

I'll admit I was torn... Part of me wanted to make a nice graveyard, or a couple of multi-grave bases.. But at least one of my favourite S.A. missions requires that you move about the table and cleanse individual graves, so this was the way to go... Also, now any bit of terrain can be a graveyard or host to a lonely plot, not just the golf course.  ;)

Whoo! Almost forgot this wee gem!

The 'Chained Coffin' that comes with the awesome Crypt from Uncle Mike's.

I wanted to rust-up the chains a bit more, then set it aside and forgot to take a picture. :-I

And it was certainly worth the wait.
The rusted chains look great!
