The siege of Minas Tirith
« on: June 22, 2014, 10:03:16 PM »
The forces of darkness launch their assault upon the white city, men, orcs, trolls, siege towers and the great ram Grond are unleashed against this last bastion of light.

Great interpretation of the Siege. What figures did you use for the factions? Any chance of a few close-ups of the miniatures used?

Let's see:
Warriors of Minas Tirith/Dol amroth: http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=412
Warriors of the feuds/rohan http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1205 (Gandalf also came from here)
easterlings: http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=448
haradrim: http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=197 I used one knight of this box covered with a cloak made of putty and a toy dragon to make the witch king
orcs: http://theredbox.com.ua/set/52.htm
And for the trolls I used saurians and one orc of WHFB

One tower came from the siege tower set of GW, the other stuff is scratchbuilt, the head of Grond is a wolfhead from the goblin wolf riders of WFHB

Great!

I'm always delighted to see gamers use 1/72 plastics, as this was how I started gaming (Airfix naps)!

Good call on the proxies, too!
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
