their costs seem to have been calculated precisely (xx,x) and I wonder if all will goes well in that aspect.

As far as I can tell, they haven't finalised things with any HIPS mouldmaker or caster yet: they just recently found out that their intended plastics producer only offered PVC, which they didn't want. Also, pardon any ignorance on my part about the HIPS moulding process, but they still seem to think silicone moulds are involved.

Costs are still up in the air, I think.

The team seems pretty professional, some of them have a really interesting curriculum!

But as Nic-e says, in video games...  o_o

For me, 'Warprime' was the biggest warning. Like I said over on Dakka, the Rob Liefeld naming method is the mark of someone riding on GW's coattails in one way or another: take the word 'War' (or 'Hammer') and mash it together with any other negative or imposing noun or adjective.

I agree for "hammer" but... War? I think that war can be considered quite not-gw branded! :)

Granted, stuff like Warmachine and Warpath are pretty much fine, because those are previously existing terms; but especially in the latter case (a company explicitly set up to nick GW's customers) the 'Warthingy' trope does seem at least partly intentional. And then you have weirder and weirder mashups like Warthrone, Warhell, and now Warprime, all of 'em from little businesses trying to nick bits and pieces almost directly from GW's mouth, like pilot fish around a great white.

Or it's like designing powered armour space-knight troops with huge shoulder pads, coloured blue with gold trim. Nothing stopping you, it's not a litigiously defensible concept, but we all know why you're doing it. >:D

Do you mean before or after the virgule?  :D

Well, I really wish them good luck. Anybody trying and furthermore succeeding a KS has my respect since I tried and failed. Whatever the idea, figures, etc. As long as consumers/backers actually get something of course.

However, it's always good to "wake" people from the GW abyss, no? :)

considering that most of gw-ers don't even know that other miniatures exist other than gw, i'd say yes! :)

Shame as I actually like some of the art...but I have a very very sneaky suspicion this will be some extraordinarily soft restic-nightmare.  The 3D test prints or whatever look incredibly soft.  Also, while it's a bit picky -the name is silly.  lol
