Afghan Pathans WIP (Need basing!)
« on: June 28, 2014, 04:50:41 AM »
Hi, I've been painting up some Foundry Afghan Pathan Irregulars of late- haven't decided on a basing system as I'm waiting for a set of rules that I like to be released.

You can see more pics and text on my blog here:

http://justaddwater-bedford.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/wip-afghan-pathans.html

Here's a taster:

Cheers,
Darrell.

Thanks matey  8).

We must organise a game sometime.... perhaps a campaign weekend of some description?

We just have somehow to get James into the Second Afghan War, oh, and Chris Peers!  :D

Looking good.
Pathans still are some of Foundry's best figures.
Also enjoyed looking over your blog.

Very nice Darrell. I have all the Foundry NW frontier tribesmen. Given that they must be 20 years old now, these are still amongst some of the most characterful figures in any wargames range.

Oh for a Perry plastic box of Pathans, eh?  ;)

One can dream...  :)

Very nice Darrell.

Thanks matey  :).

I completely agree Richard. They ooze character.

I'm probably going to be adding Artizan and Studio to the list though likely in different units- I just like as much variety as possible- there will be size issues but I'm sure I can fudge this somehow.

Oh for a Perry plastic box of Pathans, eh?  ;)

Don't say that- you'll make me weep  lol.

One can dream...  :)

Well, you never know, one day maybe..... although they have been known to go back and look at other ranges that they worked on for Foundry.....  ??? ??? ???

Darrell.

I must have painted every figure in that set ten times over but I never tire of looking at them. Fantastic job on those and vastly better than any of my efforts.

They've got a coat of Humbrol Gloss (hand painted) on them at present so I'll have to matt them down first and base them. not long to go!
