I am very sceptical as to the use of the Unfeasibly legionnaires before 1871 - they do not have the imperial uniform and the Lebel is from 1886
The Gringo 40's Legionnaires are much better suited for that, or the nice Foundry range

...basically I want him to be my personal sculptor. :)

are You using enamel paints?  ;) :D

I'm confused again.
My question is... Did FLL that look like these ever fight Berbers that look like those in the rif raf range (minus the more modern weapons). I'm wondering because Ansell sculpts both lines. I'm sure the others are great but I really prefer the look of his sculpts.

Sorry i was answearing to former user!

the answer is YES you can (minor the most modern weapons!)  rif raf are historicaly correct for the whole period 1830-1930 !

former user was wondering about " Unfeasibly legionnaires" before 1871; and he was right , they are suitable for 1905-1915 period;  not before, not after !

best regards

 lol  big misunderstanding

yes, I would generally agree, tribal costume should be Ok for a long period (with the correct weapons), however when it gets to 1900, uniforms of the regular moroccan army and of the Rif republic start to play a role, research on these is however difficult
