Report from the Golgo Banana Showdown
« on: July 28, 2008, 10:09:27 AM »
Well. I am not sure I should post the report in this section or in another one, since it deals with triad Chinese, kung fu masters, giant snakes, Cthulhu, flying saucers and space monkeys. Moderator, please feel free to relocate it to a more relevant place.

Last Saturday I was involved in the Golgo Banana Showdown, a truely unique experience I thought I could share.

The space shuttle of captain Kirk Hasslehöffner, a villain researched by every bounty hunter in the galaxy has crashed on Golgo Island. My Shanghai based Chinese triad took part in the chase.

Here is an account of the first part.

Unfortunately I don't know how the scenery was made. All I know is that the jungle is one of the nice tables they have in this club and that a person named "Tigrou" made them. It's part of a Vietnam table. It looks scratch built.

I know the Chinese buildings better since I brought them : they are fully scratch built.

Thanks. Looking at the picture in ERM web page it seem that Robert Leclerc has got a "gorilla" left arm?

No worries.  :)

I think Leclerc is based on an old French comic character, so maybe somebody else will have a better idea of what's going on with that arm. I had assumed he was wearing a coat that had one fur sleeve, but on looking closer, he could indeed have a gorilla arm.

The guy who sculpts these posts on Frothers quite regularly (under the name NBFGH) and is quite possibly insane, so it could be  either, both or none of the above options.  :D
