Pulp Cosplayers?
« on: July 05, 2014, 12:45:05 PM »
I see that there are not only pulp wargamers, but many pulp cosplayers too (at least not only manga/anime cosplayers that could be really boring sometime).

Have you some really nice pictures of these guys... or are you a pulp cosplayer too? As usual some costumes are really well done, and other are not.

Some time ago I too tried to do a dieselpunk/weird wars/pulp costume.
Here my first prototype for a Dieselpunk Imperial German Colonel costume.
I used an old East German Uniform and a NVA Gas Mask (I modified it removing the filter and other parts), with a pair of steampunk goggles and some round glock symbols in the beret, belt, tunic and the walking stick.

However if I will try again, I will buy a first world german helmet replica, a gas mask with a skull face and try to create a GW Imperial Guard Krieg Korp officer:

What I can say? I really like uniforms (and ironically I never did military service  :-X )  :-*

Hmm... I do like wearing my fez when I play Pulp Alley. Does that count?  ;D ;D

I run around in a fedcora all the time, often also wearing a brown leather jacket and beige trousers... does that count?

Plus, I'm also often seen sporting a fez at festive (and gaming) occations.  ;)

Black Widow. But me thinks she looks like a Pulp Alley mini without the patch.  ;)

Super Pulp characters don't care much for trigger discipline.  lol

My wife let me know about the pics of this young lady named Riddle in one of her cosplay outfits.
Now if I could only sculpt worth a damn...  ;)
Ole Dave Stevens would be happy.
Enjoy

She is here at a convention in Salt Lake right now and I am bummed that I couldn't go. A friend already posted his pic with her today on Facebook and she is wearing that outfit!
