Orc and Goblin Camp (now with added baggage)
« on: June 29, 2014, 05:13:59 PM »
Painted this piece up to use as a camp element for Foundry's God of Battles.

Its a lovely set (though I wasn't overly keen on the goblin with feathers so I've left him out).

Love it!

I´m still struggling to keep the painting going for my GOB orcs and dwarfs. It´s good to see that your collection is growing.

Cheers
Alex

I also knocked together a baggage element (you need both for God of Battles) using foundry orclings and copplestone yaks.

Freakin' fabulous!  8)

I've only managed to cut out the element bases (for both 28mm and 15mm) from fibre board; I need to get some sand and paint (and flock) on them.

I'll use 'empty bases' for the purpose, so I can switch between which features I put on them, according to the army on the table.

I am a big fan of the combat/movement rules, not so much the setting and the random terrain generation, so I'll skip those, instead using the rules for battles in Middle-Earth, the Hyborean Age, Ye Olde World - and anywhere else that takes my fancy.

It's the first fantasy 'battle' system that has ever made me plunge into gatting some armies ready for the table, and I foresee many years of using it  :D

Both vignettes are great - I especially like the baggage trains though

I love the detail of the shoes nicely placed together next to the dwarf. Very OCD for goblin standards!

I like that, may have to steal the idea of the yaks - I was wondering what to use as a baggage train for my gobbos!
