Thanks Shawn! This is definitely the year of Pulp for me it seems.

"Pulp Year" was supposed to be about three years ago, so I guess this is business as usual for most of us....

That's looking really nice. Any plans for pilot/nose art? After getting a pack of their apes, I find the Dust Pelican is making romantic noses to my wallet...
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

Right, carrying on step-by-step...  ;)

Pulled off all the masking tape, and was happy to see the trim & the bombs were looking good.  Details were picked-out with Humbrol 27004 gunmetal (why don't I use this stuff more often?) and then buffed a wee bit to bring out the 'metal'. Then it was on to gloss & decals.

Pin-wash and weathering coming up after Gary42's weekend marathon gaming visit.  ;D

Lovely job on the Dust Horton so far, you've sold me on the model (about which I was previously a bit iffy - I'd been trying to get my hands on one of Dragon's OOP Ho-229's, but as they seem to be mostly in the US the postage/import tax to the UK has so far stopped me).
There are a few things I plan to change - the vectored jets underneath for one, so will make some Harrier type nozzles which'll look better & the skids, which I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to replace with yet, but I think, (now I've seen your excellent example) that it'll work. Many thanks for the inspirational models - can't wait to see it finished!

Fantastic bits of aero-kit Thomas!!  :o

The P12-E is a GREAT looking pulp plane indeed. Though $65 USD for a diecast seems a wee bit steep. But perhaps well worth the cost for it's look alone.  :?

Thanks Todd.  :D

I got a lucky hit at Hobby Link Japan and only paid a fraction of that for my diecasts. $50.00 for both the Fury and the P12-E, including shipping.... To be honest I didn't realise at the time what a bargain they were; I get email from HLJ with sale notices and I bite if something looks good and if I have the spare change on hand.

Lovely job on the Dust Horton so far, you've sold me on the model...

Very happy to hear it sir. I think you will be impressed with the kit. Lots of potential for leisurely conversion and careful finishing.
