The Tomorrow People (70s) in 7TV
« on: March 08, 2014, 02:59:00 PM »
I've been slowly working on a Tomorrow People cast inspired by the original show, and I thought I'd share some of the progress. My goal was to stick with crooked part as much as possible, and apart from some metal hands and putty, thus far I have managed to stay on this course.

On the top row you have Carol, Beth, John, and Mike, each with jaunting belt.

2nd Row - an AE suit, stephen's dad (a node to the new series, even though I haven't done stephen yet), and two saps Ginge and Lefty. In gaming sense they are used as as both hero or villain cast.

3rd row - The Triclops who is a take on the cyclops from the original and serves as my big bad.  Cut away the cultist (who is on another base, waste not) and replaced with a fallen triclops statue head.  He is holding a jaunting belt.  Next is Jedikiah and is rarely seen robot form.  Finally we have Emily with her dosling pin (teleporter)

4th Row - for the minions I decided a major theme is evolution, so it made sense to have the villain de-evolve humanity to serve him.  Ape servants were also seen briefly on the show (A rift in time).

5th Row - some human skins.  A certain cat suited female is soon to become a version of carol that has been taken over by the skins.  Thinking of similar paint scheme.

Still have a lot to do.  Basing, but haven't had the inspiration yet.  Each figure is mounted about 1 mm higher than normal to give me room to sculpt under their feet.  THose who saw my planning picture might recall I want to do another form of Jedikiah using the Travers mini (count Rabowski episode), the Kleptons, colonel Masters (mostly done) and Patricia Conway (casual may?), plus I would like to sculpt a Medusa or three.

A new update to the project.

All the figures are still either Crooked Dice or "sculpted" by me.

You mean yesterday's tomorrow today. Although catching an episode of the new series did make me think that the future isn't what it used to be.  ;)

It's inspired stuff all the same.  :)

I'm not familiar with the show, but that plaid shirt is a thing of beauty, just great!
