[Reference] Photography then and now (The Guardian)
« on: July 08, 2014, 10:06:51 AM »
The Guardian has a series called "Photography then and now". It's mostly photos from WW1 and WW2 overlayed with photos from today. You can "click and drag" the pictures "from old to new". There may be better pictures for reference but I like that effect a lot.

"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

That's brilliant.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.
