Daemonscape vehicles - now with snowtroopers!

Really handsome stuff! I've been interested in the shuttle for a long time, and you've done it up brill, but the other vehicles... 

Course, I came to the thread with ulterior motives; was rather hoping to see some of the larger beasts in paint. Half wanted piccies to inspire possible uses, half to see if there was interest in them on the colonial side of the briny.

No such; the armored reserve in the closet is safe.

Added some snowtroopers by 4A Miniatures into the mix.  Nice figs, although sometimes you can see where straps don't join and they're obviously just bits of rolled-up putty.  Just don't look too closely

The white was an interesting experiment - white primer, then a heavy camo green wash, than a lighter overspray of primer at about 45 degrees.  Came out OK - picked out the recesses well, and where the overspray was too light, the troops just look a bit mucky.

I assume he means Night Vision Goggles. Personally I think the orange/red lenses look fantastic, though.

Gotcha.  Hmm, I'll think about that one.  A spot of red complements the green, I feel, but keeping the range of colours narrow aslo appeals.

Get the vehicles direct from Daemonscape - they're cheaper than on Ebay.

The snowtroopers are really nice to paint, and a good mix of basic troopers and specialists.  I thought about doing them in some kind of boreal-arctic light forest camo (plenty of Russian examples), but in the end I was happy with white.

I have plenty of scenic items that would fit nicely on a polar/colony world board, but now you've got me thinking about the terrain base (especially after seeing Silent Invader's snow boards in the Post-Apocalypse and Medieval forums).

First, however, I have ALF and some of your dwarfs to paint up
