Grubman, the core rules are the same ones you know and love. The rest is full of things that have grown up over the years. There' a simple gang builder, 16 campaign scenarios and a few extras. It's got enough new content to warrant a re-release.

Cool!  Do we have an estimated release date?  What dimensions is the printed version going to be?  Saddle-stitched or perfect bound?  Hoping for a large (8 1/2" x 11") version saddle-stitched with a larger font, so it will lay flat on the table and my aging eyes can read it without glasses. 8)

Both Lee Marvin characters from Cat Ballou.  Kid Shelleen, the drunk gunfighter, and his brother Tim Strawn with the tin nose.

A Bass Reeves figure would rock! Nat Love aka Deadwood Dick would also be a good choice. I know Knuckleduster does Bass Reeves, but more African American western figs would be a good start. Some non cowboy hat wearing westerners would be in order as well.

It might be heresy, But how about some very late cowboys - the last of their era, with some more modern gear, a la Wild Bunch/Duck You Sucker or even later?

Cowboys, campfire, cookie, chuckwagon......beans.....

Actually what I'd like to see is Indian tribes people, kids, elders, women - there are plenty townsfolk, cowboys, cavalry, warriors etc after all. "Early" period would wear buckskins, "later" would wear European clothing and include Indian police. Ghost dancers would be a bit different too and perhaps and so would figures in buffalo hide coats, soldiers, civilians and Indians - winter's mighty cold!

Back to cowboys - how about a farrier shoeing a horse? Cowboys branding a steer. Buffalo hunters too.

Good ideas.

I too would be excited by well sculpted Amerindian villagers. I have a few, but they are a little crude and don't look to be going about chores. While we have seated poker players, piano players and saloon patrons, I always seem to need more. A seated gunsmith repairing a revolver. A seated telegraph operator. A few church-goers in their pews would be fabulous.

I don't recall seeing a cowboy with shovel, digging fenceposts. A cowboy with a hammer would also strike my fancy...perhaps hunched over at waist level such that he could be nailing up fencing or working on sawbucks while building a barn...the 4Ground buildings under construction.

Hovels(sp?) has a farrier figure that is easy to use in Old West games. I love mine.

Branding a steer is a great idea. Newspaper press operator. Perhaps it could not be done in good taste, but a set of one figure about to be scalped by the other would be interesting. These would be larger and perhaps not profitable.

I own the Old Glory Bonanza figures, but they are not outstanding. Some of the Gunsmoke characters would be fun, but I suspect someone already does those. Terrence Hill would be a great figure if you could capture his smirk. Just a dirt farmer sitting as though on a buckboard would be a useful figure.

FramFramson's idea of late cowboys...perhaps the Mag. Seven?
