Thanks - it's an old Citadel sculpt from the late 80's or so, I think, and, yes, he could be Gollum's big, stronger brother, actually. Come to think of it, Gollum IS a kind of ghoul, really...  :)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

That is one COOL drug crazed looking Ghoul. The flesh tones are WONDERFUL. GREAT WORK!
I would agree with you on the Gollum the Ghoul thingy also.

Seriously though, it looks like the kind of skin tone I'd like to stick on some uruk hai, and hopefully was at least half as much success. :)

Thank you!

Thanks!

Get the paint, give it a try:

Undercoat: Black
Base coat/deep shadows: Foundry Rawhide Shade
Main coat: Rawhide Shade + Rawhide
First highlight: Rawhide
Final highlight: Rawhide Light

I find that series almost always turns out well.  :)

hopefully was at least half as much success.

That should be with half as much success. Dunno what it sounds like with 'was'.  ;D

Ta for the recipe, though I've got too many paints already. Pleny of ochres and browns though, so hopefully I'll get a reasonable approximation. :)

Looking forward to the rest of the ghouls.

I'm using the Mantic zombies as ghouls, having only the leaders represented by the GW ghouls.

I have pics of those here (and on the blog, of course): http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60542.0

I multi-purpose everything these days - by cross-using stuff, no project is ever left 'dead' for a very long time, and I find that motivating!

I think I should post these units that have been readied for Horisont VI:

Swordsmen:

Archers:

I only have to paint 9 additional models, make some 'miracle' cards, sand and paint the camp and baggage bases, maybe find some scatter to put on them, and then I can pack up for Horisont  ;D

My Gondor/Rohan GoB army is almost ready for Horisont!

Here's a pic of the next to last rank-and-file model I finished late yesterday evening:

One more, almost done, and I can start painting the characters for the 36 pts force I have been putting together the last couple of months.  ;D

There's a lot of other pics from the last couple of weeks to be seen at my blog.  :)

The third, and last, Fiefdom warrior unit for my GoB Gondor army.

If I can find the time before Horisont, I'll do a bit of work on some of the bases not painted by me - notably the leader's.

EDIT:

DARN - wrong picture  lol
Corrected now!

Although I have caught a bad cold, and am spending most of my time on the couch with blankets and hot drinks, in between headaches I have begun working on the Camp and Baggage bases needed for the game:

Very generic, but never the less going to be used for GoB next weekend  :D

More on the blog, as usual!  :)

Lovely stuff! I want to try GoB. The rules read very well!

They play even better!

And the best part is, you can easily proxy any fantasy army you and your friends may have already.

Read about some of the stuff we did on my blog:

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I did a bit more:

My 24 pts Quick-Play Lords of Undeath army is being upgraded to full force!

And the metal base has been applied.

Tomorrow, I'll glue the actual chariot in place, and position the driver, and possibly a 'passenger'.

Filler will be added at the rim, and I'll try to get a uniform finish done all over.

I'm posting this here, because it is about a GoB battle:

We played a test-run of our LotR/GoB scenario for Horisont VI today:
