Looking great, but... plastic? 28mm, Argonor? Tsk tsk tsk.

Like it or not, plastic has come to stay. Those skellies are 20 odd years old, though.

I like them. Where did the shield came from, might need some for my SAGA Westeros project. ;)

Nice painiting in this thread. Those skeletons were one of the first miniatures I got (and therefore hold a special place for me).

Not so much that it's plastic, Argonor, but the presence of plastic is almost a dead giveaway that you're using 28mm minis. :D ;)

Still, looking good with the paint progress!

The Severely Anorexic Lads are coming along in FINE fashion. You have a SPLENDID way with bone colors. Keep up the GREAT WORK, if you are so inclined!

The shields are from the Gripping Beast Dark Age Warriors set (the same as in the Viking Hirdmen and Saxon Thegns sets). I am going to make (at least) one point of sling-wielding levies, so 12 models I don't need the shields for  :D

Thanks, I am going to use a wash of Devlan Mud on the models to tie them in with my existing Lords of Undeath army, but I don't think it will ruin the looks of them  ;)

Ah, yes, I haven't started work on my 15mm Thousand Tribes Copplestone Barbarians army, yet. I mucked up the undead army to have a small alternative force to play with at Horisont, but it is growing on me, and I would like to take it up to 60 pts over time (the unit currently in the works is 8 pts, and 16 strong 'Skeleton Hordes' are only 5 pts, so a full army can consist of quite a pile of bones).

...AND VERY NICE it is! The warm off white, old bone look of the left center one is particularly attractive. Keep up the SPLENDID Work!

The Skeletal Guys look WONDERFUL...GREAT brushwork & bases. I guess all you need now is a standard & the Bony Lads are off to war...or whatever.

I like your style of basing. Looks quite easy to manage, but pretty effective.
What kind of sand did you use?

The sand is just regular beach sand from a beach nearby somewhere - painted with an earth colour and drybrushed with the same colour mixed with white.

Thanks, they most certainly are - I am going to see if they are sufficient for getting back at Duregar's dwarves, as soon as I can get him to the table (latest news was that he might be catching a cold, so I'm uncertain as to when he'll be up to the challenge).

As can be deducted from the AARs on my blog, I need to beef out the Lords of Undeath army a bit.

I already have 3 old wraiths/wights/whatever painted up, and I dug out this old blister that is going to yield one more member for a Guardians of Midnight unit.

I found a primed version of the crowned, pointing one while going through some old boxes with abandoned paused projects, so I only need to scavenge a standard bearer form another old NIB Skeleton Command Group blister.

My regular gaming pal Duregar/Ulolkish once said that I am probably able to pull out minis for just about anything we could imagine gaming, and he's probably right...  :D
