Lovely, lovely minis - no mouldlines, a little flash to pick off but otherwise perfect. Detail is clean and deep - a joy to paint them. I also picked up the characters in metal from Neal at Miniatures of the North - he was kind enough to sell me some test casts.
Thanks to Giger for showing me these exist - I took a different approach with the colours from him, so consider these an "alternative" paintjob to his excellent LotR figures.
Bulk painting techniques, but I'm happy with the results. I changed some of the weapons for variation - spare weapons from Mantic's plastic kits fit nicely. The flamethrower hose was replaced with some guitar string.
GW's new Nikolah Oxide patina wash makes a nice "eldritch fire" effect
Flesh tones are deliberately pallid and sickly - the purple shading also goes nicely with the brassy gold armour. The very limited "warm" palette I used came out OK, I feel. Might put some foliage on the bases though.
Apologies for the phone camera pictures - the colours are a lot richer in real life. Particularly happy with the sorcerer and priest models.
