Back into some gaming In Her Majesty's Name last night. We played a quick Objectives match. Leadfool playing the Servants of Ra and I the Sarmatian Order. 250 points per side. The Followers of Ra were great in number and I decided right off the bat that it was going to be very difficult to win this on objective snatching. So instead I made it my goal to take out as much of the Servants command structure as possible.
The Servants split into two groups with the smaller of the two running a flanking movement on one objective and the larger coming up the middle of the street. The Sarmatians chose to meet the main force in the street. I parked one of my Squires on the objective there, daring Akhenaton to come and get it. With shotguns in defensive positions and Sir Bors with a Machine Gun and a firing line down the length of the street we were able to whittle down the Servants acolytes considerably.
Akhenaton and the Mummy came up the center. I attacked the Mummy with a Great Sword wielding knight and drew Akhenaton into a brawl where I was able to get four figures, including Sir Galahad, the faction leader surrounding him. Akhenaton is a tough old bird! Even ganging up on him the best I could do was keep him at bay while his servants made off with two of the objectives. I did manage to kill the mummy and about 6 of his followers and only losing one of mine before we had to call it a night. I think eventually Akhenaton would have fallen it would have been costly.
A few photos from the evening:
The Sarmatian Order ready to go.
The field of battle
Professor Abir leads the flanking group out from an alley.
Aurelianus Au Reilly attacks the Mummy while Akhenaton advances on one of the objectives.
Gareth advances while Sir Bors covers the street with the machine gun.
Some more of the street fighting.
Had some serious fun as always.
Thanks for looking.
