Start of my Afghan & African collection
« on: July 20, 2014, 07:49:31 PM »
Back into wargaming after children have all grown up & I find I have a lot of me time.
So here are the first units for Afghan.
3 para n 2 downed copter pilots & Taliban with a few Al Queda added.
Painting done by Mark of overwatchcommand as have zero skills in that dept!
More stuff to follow...

Thank you.
Here's some work in progress pics..
The digger n the van were die cast eBay specials..being suitably weathered up.
The figures are all Empress..Rules will either be Skirmish sangin, corner of a foreign field or the Spectre rules.
Small to medium skirmish sized games with some black ops type stuff included.
Although I'm also tempted to run a fictional country setting. Time will tell.

EBay mate. I got the van for a couple of quid n the digger for £6.50.
Bargains....
Asked if Mark could make them suitably weathered & gameable & this is the results thus far..

I'd say that's a great start to the collection.  The bases are very well done and those vehicles are wonderfully weathered.   :)

Colour me super-jealous.  Great figures, great paintwork.  Hugely impressed.

Lovely paintwork indeed- a great collection. One minor thing- the shalwar kameez (the top and bottoms Afghans wear) are always sold and worn in matched sets- so one colour. If you're not gaming with someone who's been there or a trainspotter on such things it really doesn't matter. Beautiful paint jobs regardless.
