Let's say I can't remember a name or a term to search for, though I remember the general subject. But I do remember who started a thread.

Is there anyway to search specifically for threads by the user who started them?

(In this particular case I'm trying to find a couple of my own very old workbench threads... I have no idea where they are now!

)

Go to 'Advanced Search', and fill in the field 'By User'

The problem is that that's by post and not by thread.

So searching for posts by me brings up all 4000+ of my posts.

Well, there must be a better way to do this but this is the "manually compiled" list of the threads started by you on the workbench forum... it starts with your oldest threads first...

in order to create a repostable dynamic search link you have to refresh the search results

You can tick 'search in topic subjects only', so if you know the subject, that should narrow it down?

... No problem, I hope that helps... I had a few minutes to kill whilst my MP3 player was recharging and it's always fun to look at old LAF threads anyway
