As excellent as the last fig is and prefect as a stand alone I think the colour scheme on the others is far superior in look. In fact I think the yellow blue red combo is so good I was going to steal it for my Perry Pikemen.

I think I agree with you, but no harm in mixing things up I guess ;) Looking forward to seeing the Pikemen :D

Most of my sci fi figs end up either black/red or blue/red or orange/white and I struggle to find combos with impact in other colours. Hence I have been taking note of these ones and picking p a few tips and ideas.

I find colour wheels very useful in getting decent colour combinations. Orange and white is a classic sci-fi pairing though - can't go too wrong with it!

Although this thread is titled 'Rogue Trader'...I do paint non Rogue Trader and more modern figures too. The latest "modern" figure, is just under 20 years old, painted for my Guilder's entourage :)

That's a great looking gang, Axiom. Beautifully painted, and a wonderful color scheme. The Necromunda guy fits right in - I think it's because of the knee pads!

Finally, a newly painted model without any yellow (he does have orange though)!

This chap is the Imperial Scout from the Rogue Trader Adventurers range - a lovely characterful figure. He's been painted to match up to the Sensei (now Inquisitional Acolyte) and Beast Trooper I did over the summer; all three will be part of the retinue of an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor:

Nice work, sir.
Another winning colour scheme.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the group painted up, especially the gobbo/baldy conversion.

Your wish is my command! I hope you'll forgive the photograph, but I just got round to taking a couple of pics of the little mutie after painting him last night:

Scrat is a little creature of unknown origin; possibly albino ratling, possibly stunted mutie, possibly (and worringly) something else entirely! Inquisitor Dirske uses him for covert surveillance and infiltration, where his agility and innate stealthiness come into play.

Here is is with the rest of the painted crew:

As I've ssid elsewhere mate nice use of the mantic ghoul head. Been watching the strain today and these would also work for vamps and for more 40k esque uses stealer hybrids.

Cheers

Got round to painting up an Inquisitor to lead the rag-tag band of individuals.

He's deliberately more opulantly dressed (more gold, more jade, patterned robe) than his underlings to try and highlight his status.
