@Mellal - yeah, the 'R' is an interesting design addition!! I'm loving the Leadplague 54mm stuff too - lots of great figs.

Latest 54mm addition is an Inquisitor-scale ratling, converted from a classic Blood Bowl chas star player of all things!

The eyepatch is a great addition. Seems like a veteran but still lost in the storm, rattling way. Good job!

That‘s spot on! Never thought that a Chaos warrior would make such a great halfling, but it really does work greatly.

Thanks guys! The eyepatch was to try and pull the look of the head away from the source model, but it doubles up by adding a nice bit of back story too!

Next up is probably my favourite 54mm figure to date - an Inquisitor based on one of John Blanche's incredible concept sketches from The Inquisitor Sketchbook. The figure is an assemblage of different parts plus sculpting and a partly scratchbuilt bionic arm. Very pleased with the results!

That’s just awesome! And let me guess, all those plastic parts are standard „28mm“? It’s a nice benefit of the comically distorted heoirc scale of GW that these bits fit well with larger models.

Thanks DivisMal. Yep, all the plastic bits are "28mm". The knife in particular is from a pretty chunky model, so suits 54mm nicely.

Very cool conversion, I used to play a lot of inquisitor back in the days and have a lot of fond memories of it.

Thanks everyone, glad the Inquisitor hits the spot!

My latest figure is one that was originally conceived as a leader for a space slann army for 40k. I never got round to doing the army, but he's getting a new lease of life 20 years on because he fits into my current 54mm project.

The figure was converted for me by sculptor and Golden Demon winner Jeff Wilhelm. It's a massive source of embarrassment to me that it's taken this long to paint him up, but better late than never.

Great stuff!

A wonderful conversion and great paintjob.

I have the same mini, I once intended to use as a mystic or telepath in an Inquisitor's retinue, with a collar and chain held by an acolyte of sorts. I figured he'd be awesome as a captured Old One, even though the Imperials would be unaware of what he actually was.

I got him at the 2006 Games Day for this purpose, but alas; the idea was never realized. I still might get on with it at some point though...

And I find it fun to see how many larger 28mm miniatures actually fit into a 54mm project  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
