Lovely mate. Just to say Victoria Lamb's got some great conversion parts that would really suit your ash waste conversions. Goggles, masks weapons etc...

Look forward  to seeing more.

Cheers

Coincidentally the gas mask on this chap is from Victoria Miniatures ;) I love the stuff in her webstore. Glad you like him :)

Put the finishing touches to this fishy fellow last night:

More pics in the blogpost

Really fun to paint - he's a reimagining of the Rogue Trader Piscean Warrior figure released in March 1987, sculpted and a handful cast up by Obscure Creator over at the Oldhammer forums.

The skin colour is a copy of the yellow-headed moray eel, while the blue was just for a complementary contrast :)

The eel in question:

I really like that paint scheme.  Nicely done.

Are those not-pisceans still available?

Not sure..the sculptor (Obscure Creator) is on the Oldhammer  forums - he's got other sculpts WIP...might be worth speaking to him

It's been a little while since I did anything with my Guilder gang for Confrontation, but I've managed to paint up another henchman - I think he's a little bit more concerned with his appearance than Grigor Klegane (yellow boiler suit)!

Looking good man!  I like that for every uber-rare mini, there's a conversion based on a fairly accessible miniature as well.

Thanks! I must admit, it's really satisfying to adapt a model and entirely recreate it as something else. I picked up a whol bunch of Foundry 17th Century figures recently and I'm full of ideas to turn them into something else (just need to get on and do it!).
