Great figure, although I'm not sure that the grim darkness of the far future has much room for floral sashes!

Thanks both! The sash was shamelessly copied from the one on the Dark Sword website. I haven't executed it anywhere near as well as the studio painter did, but it does the job. Personally I think there's plenty of room for floral sashes in 40k...as long as they're teamed up with odd-looking bald blind women ;)

Definitely! I should have used a smiley, winky thing after my comment.

I've managed a couple more painted figures during the slight intermission to this thread. First up is another new recruit to my Ash Waste Nomads, this time one of the original Marauder releases:

The second (and more exciting) figure is one that I've coveted for years, but only managed to obtain earlier this year. This particular figure is a c1991 release for Confrontation; the Elite Gang leader. I'm calling him Eduardo Murat :)

In due course, Eduardo will have his own gang to hang around with, but I'm also toying with the idea of including him (and his gangers) as the militant element of an Ecclesiarchy retinue.

Those are brilliant.

Now I suddenly have a strong urge to have some of those oldies.

Thanks guys!

@Mason - I think most figures would be enhanced by the addition of a dog on a lead ;)

Your RT stuff always looks amazing -- so unique in its style and yet very much in tune with what I think of when I think of the setting.

Thanks guys :D

Last night's painting session resulted in a new minor Necromundan noble for my Elite Leader to guard, sparked by a painting competition launched earlier in the week over at the Yaktribe forums. The competition brief is to build a group with at least two members of a Noble House, Brats, Servants or a Lord for Necromunda. The figure is Romana from Citadel's Doctor Who range, but she'll do nicely as a high born noble's daughter I think! A 3rd figure to the group, representing her tutor, will come in due course.

That Doctor Who figure is a great old model.  I tend to discount that range as small and a bit crude, but that figure is great.

A brilliant choice.

Reminds me just a little of a certain Princess... ;)

As for the tutor, I have an idea of which figure would be great for that but wouldnt like to say in case we are thinking alike....

Damn, I need to get painting. I was planning on using that Romana figure in some 40K games, I keep getting beat to the punch ;)

@cheetor - certainly some of the sculpts are small and crude. Romana is small (but not too small), and a pretty elegant sculpt for the time period.

@Mason - just needs buns on the side of her head ;) Here's the tutor WIP. I'm going to be completely weirded out if you're thinking of the same figure!

@Mathias - sorry...I know it can be frustrating if people keep gazumping you. I'll try not to do it again!
