Preparations for the big drop!
« on: July 25, 2014, 11:35:27 PM »
We are planning a big display game on the first day of the battle of Arnhem using 15mm figures and the Crossfire WWII rules

Here's a few teasers but see more details on my blog:

Cheers

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Very nice! Of course, most of Freddie's Jeeps didn't make it  :P

Bit of a myth from ABTF that one.

2 gliders crash landed and the jeeps were either lost or unable to be unloaded. A third turned back but arrived with the 2nd lift on the 18th.

The ambush at Wolfheze accounted for a single section not 'the rest' as stated in the film.

It all did of course mean they failed to make it to the bridge other than Freddie and some of his HQ.

Great looking table and figures looking forward to the AAR
