Napoleonic three pounder?
« on: July 26, 2014, 04:42:08 PM »
Hello,

anybody know any manufacturers of Napoleonic era three pounders in 28mm?

Only one I know currently is this (by the Perry bros):

https://www.perry-miniatures.com/product_info.php?products_id=3054&osCsid=bh4g4lesh608hnfbmevmdnl033

Thanks for info.

Hi,

thanks for info. They seem to have both 4 and 6 pounders but good to know different options if I need bigger guns than the three pounders.

Don't know a lot about the specifics but would light ordinance like the 3pdr have changed much since the American War of Independence?

If not then there is a 3pdr butterfly in a couple of the Perry AWI packs here

Hi,

Front Rank do some nice ones:

As do Elite:

I've got both and they are both splendid models!

Cheers,

Paul

Many thanks gentlemen, just perfect!

Inspired by Dalaupprors Finnish War project, I'll make something similar yet some different units from the same war. The regiment I'm going to make had only three pounders in their artillery company, besides two 2 pounders taken from small gunboat(s) thus no need for six pounders… yet.

And Cubs, that would be perfect as well, to stun, or at least to irritate, an annoying opponent :D

Ordered earlier and received today two nice three pounders from Front Rank. Once again thanks for helping out to locate so many sources of suitable ones. Now hope to build those two and start painting them.

Cheers!
